  • Battery bank monitor

Hi, I’m looking for a low cost battery bank voltage controller like the Missouri Wind and Power one they have but that has an output if the battery voltage is high and a second output if the battery voltage is low. The first one would be to bring in a dump load via a SSR, the second one would be to open a SSR feeding my hot water cylinder. Bank is 24 volt.
Anyone know if something like this is available?
    Thanks,

In case you don't find one, an LM339 IC could be set up to do 4 voltage levels. Bruce Roe

Hi, thanks for the info but that's a bit beyond my skill.

I just bought a meter that displays voltage and has a low battery alarm. My 24 volt battery bank is 210 feet from the house and the beauty of this meter in my case, is small and inexpensive wire could be used. "Battery Failsafe Devices", about $60 bucks. Good guy to deal with.

Bought a Trimetric so will see how that goes shortly.

It sounds from what I've read around here, that thats a good choice, infect I had ordered one after misunderstanding what size wire I would need to run the 200 + feet. They were kind enough to let me return it after I plead ignorance. I'm very happy with the "Battery Failsafe" gauge so far.
