          Seriously, lets say with 600 watts at 10 AM I see 100 watts on the KID display

          At 1PM it shows 400, and overcharge lite is on then at 4PM it's 185W

          If I had a 400w array I would not come close to the 10am or 4pm readings, yes there is wasted watts mid day but so watt

              Now its just my opinion, yes my own, batteries in your situation is kinda like buying a pair of buckets. A real big bucket let's you carry more liquid sun but weighs more, a smaller bucket (less amp hrs rating) less weight, some less cost, lots less potential for use, nightly longevity. You have to be the scale! Just use the correct batteries for PV.
