  • Cutting Amorphous Silicon Panel

    Hi everyone,

I have a panel similar to this.

I need to take a few inches off each dimension (L + W). What would be the best way to go about this?

The wire terminals are soldered to posts at each end of the width. As I will have to reposition one of these posts, what is my best course of action? considering they are sandwiched between two sheets of glass.

Would I be better off letting a professional take over? Is that something they would encounter from time to time?

Let me know if I can be more informative. I hope I have posted in the right section :/

your attachment did not make it for some reason.

But, as far as I know, panels can't just be trimmed to size. that would ruin the factory hermetic seal.

Never heard of it before - doubt it can be done.

Thanks for your advice. I was wondering why it was so hard to find information on the process.
