I have two batteries (interstate srm-29 675cca 845mca) running my small system and was just given 2 more batteries (Powerware VRLA Battery PWHR12500W4fr) My question is can these batteries be wired together. They are all about the same age.

    No.
    1. Batteries of different types, even if similar in capacity and age, cannot safely be used together, either in series or in parallel.
    2. FLA batteries and AGM batteries in particular do not mix well, since some conditions that will be OK for FLA will kill AGM and vice versa.
    3. Were you thinking of putting them all in parallel? If so, you need to realize that two batteries in parallel are not ideal if it can be avoided, and five in parallel is asking for early failure of all of them.
