  • Solar water Pump with Grid Failover

I've been googling this for quite a while. I'm looking into solar water pumps, but what happens if the batteries get too low? I live in Massachusetts, and their can be days of little sunlight.

Is there an Charge controller that will switch over to Grid Power if the batteries get too low? Not necessarily to charge the batteries, but to power the pump.

I've very new to this and don't even know if a product like this exists.

Most of the high quality charge controller has the AUX feature to turn on/off a solidstate controller to switch between power source when battery voltage reach to a set point. You need to have one of that and a solidstate controller to do what you want to do. but the are not cheap.
