    I would say that it depends on the DC motor being used. I installed a couple of Solar attic fans to vent out the hot air. They each had a 10 watt panel tied directly to the DC fan motor. I do remember watching the fan slow down when it looked like a cloud was passing by but then started back up again when the sun was out. Looking at the specs I feel the motor was designed for the times there was less then the required sunlight to run yet did not hurt the fan motor. But again I do not know if your blower motor works the same or not.

    I do not remember the manufacturer but it is similar to the All Purpose Ventilator model #9910APV made by US Sunlight.
