Default Please help...First time poster. Vivint 20 year solar agreement????

    Hi all,

Great forum! Need some input. I'm on Long Island NY. My yearly electric bills run like 1800.00 I'm paying 22 cents /kilo. Vivint wants me to sign an agreement for 20 years at 15 cents / kilo + 2.5 percent tax. They will install and maintain the entire system for FREE. I'm sure in the Summer it makes sense but I'm thinking by the time I'm finished paying LIPA for the backup electric, it most likely will not be such a good deal.

    Any guidance appreciated.

    Bob

Is this a power purchase agreement where you only pay for power produced or a fixed monthly payment where the production is calculated to be the $.15 annually

    Default Newbie too!

Plumabob - what did you decide to do? I am on Long island as well and was given the same offer. But when he compared my pricing, it's more to pay out of pocket in some months as they don't currently have budget billing. It may save more in the year, but I have to worry about each month individually. I'm curious if you went with it and have seen a big change in what you are paying out.
