  • Mechinical Load test

    Hi
I have done mechanical load test on 225watt module. Before giving load on module I did flasher test of same module. And I got 223.8watt. After that I gave 2000pa (around 406kg) force facing glass for 1 hour. And then again take flasher. At this time I got 220.0watt.
After that I give one more cycle on same module but on facing back sheet side. This is also for 1 hour.
After that I give one more cycle on same module but on facing glass side. This is also for 1 hour. So at the and I give 3 times same load. But this I got 224.6watt.
So I m confused form this result. Is there anybody help me to solve this?
    Thanks

Are you controlling the temperature of the enviroment ?

    223.8watt
    220.0watt
224.6watt what are your measurement instruments, what is their tollerance ?

Load Test ? you are putting weight on the module ? Generally, a PV load test, is an electrical load.

Applying mechanical stress to the glass/cells/backing WILL make it fail eventually.

there is temp. variation during each test(cycle)
how much temp. effect on electrical parameter of solar cell or module. what happen module temp. goes up or down 2degree.

The manufacturer of the ğanels tells that in their spec - normally between 0.35 to 0.5% per degree C above 25

i am testing this module tester(flasher or sun simulator). its calibrated before measurment. about load test. ya we put 408 kg on module bothside. what do you think about this test?

I'm curious, what are you testing for with this? and how? and why?

Do you mean 2000kpa pressure applied with the the panel in a pressurised cylinder, if so, again, why?

we are doinig mech. test of pv module for see what effects on modules after load. this is for quality checking of our modules

not cylinder load. we are putting weight of 408kg on modules.

OK, partly answered, Is this a standard test that you can give a link to some details on the method used?

can you suggest me other reliability test of pv?
                          how to do?

I believe DV Henry was asking for a reference number or other identification for the test.

Yes. Details on how the test is carried out, and what properties (specifically) are being tested. This is needed.

To test mechanical properties I can make some suggestions, again, testing for what specifically,
For example impact resistance, tolerance to warping from being mounted to a roof that distorts according to weather conditions, and others.

What type of panel, for example, mono-crystalline using EVA and low iron tempered glass.

At the moment without detailed information on how the test is carried out, and what properties are being tested, or need to be tested, there is little more I can offer.
