Avoid evacuated tube systems.
Go with flat plate drainback system made in the US. or Germany.

+1. Keep it simple. Skip the evac. tubes. Wherever the system is from, buy quality.

FWIW: about 20 years ago, I stayed was on business in Ireland and stayed at a very lovely B & B just outside of Limerick on route N21, fairly near the Desmond Castle if my memory serves (no guarantees). The Prop. had a relatively large solar thermal flat plate system that was, at that time a recent install. If it's still there 20 years on, and under the same ownership, they may be willing to share 20 yrs. of experience.
