  • Battery configuration change 1/2 way through life cycle

If I have 8, 6V T-105's in a 2 string parallel configuration for 24V operating for 2 years, then (due to system upgrade) change to a series 48V configuration with the same batteries for the remainder of the battery life, will this affect the batteries in any way?

To the extent that the batteries are still fairly well balanced in condition and remaining capacity even after their time in parallel, changing them to series will not hurt them any. Keep a close eye on the battery voltages and SG readings for a few weeks to make sure that they are well enough balanced.

No just be sure to run an EQ charge on the batteries for 12 to 24 hours after you reconfigure them.
