    Hi

just a quick question i have a system running at the moment which consists of 2 x 250 watt trina panels, 30a mppt tracer controller, 1500watt 24v inverter and 2 x 12v 220ah 1000a batteries.

i would like to add another two batteries for more storage, the batteries i would like to add are 12v 180ah 1050a will this work or do the batteries have to be the same?

    thanks

    alan

Batteries need to all be matched - preferably from the same lot. Mixing brands or sizes is asking for long term trouble.

This site http://www.smartgauge.co.uk/batt_con.html has a article that talks about the problems that arise when even the battery cables are mis-matched.
